Come ready to fiesta on Saturday, May 6

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, is happening this Saturday, May 6, from 2-5 pm at your favorite Midtown Crossing establishments. Get ready to indulge in Mexican-inspired cocktails, beverages, and small bites. And the best part? You get to cast your vote for the best in midtown! So, make sure you visit as many places as you can and pick your favorites. Taco bout’ fun!

Kickoff summer with the family on May 13

Get ready for a day of non-stop FUN at Midtown Summer Fun Day! Join us in Turner Park on Saturday, May 13, from 10am-11am for some awesome fun & games hosted by the Junior League of Omaha. Bring the whole family and enjoy face painting, balloon twists, chalk art and more! Plus, you’ll be helping raise awareness of food insecurity and supporting the Junior League’s signature program, Kitchen Connections. A free will donation of $20 per family is recommended. Afterwards, from 11am-2pm, take a stroll around Midtown Crossing and enjoy Summer Fun Day-themed activities inside participating retailers. You’ll even get to meet some of your favorite action hero characters live and in person! And don’t forget to indulge in some delicious wood-fired pizza, buffalo wings, waffle cones or a refreshing Boba tea. It’s a family celebration you won’t want to miss!

Get your body moving this summer in Turner Park

Get Up! Get Out! Game On in the park with Omaha Bocce Ball. A fun way to spend time with friends and family and is a great low-impact workout that can improve your balance, coordination and hand-eye coordination!

Looking for a fun and free way to break up your work week? Look no further than the Wednesday Night Workout Series! Hosted by Methodist Health System and led by licensed instructors from Genesis Health Clubs, this weekly event offers a variety of outdoor workouts that are sure to get your heart pumping and your spirits soaring. From Zumba to Pound to Mixxed Fit, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So mark your calendars and come join us for some fitness fun! 

Looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating way to spend your Sundays? Look no further than Yoga in the Park! Hosted by Methodist Health System and led by certified yoga instructors from Genesis Health Clubs, this weekly event offers an opportunity to connect with nature and find your flow in a serene outdoor setting. All levels are welcome, so whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a beginner, come join us in Turner Park for a blissful yoga adventure. Just be sure to bring a water bottle and your own mat or blanket to practice on.

There’s something for everyone at the Night Market

Are you ready for some fun under the stars? Join us for Omaha’s favorite Fridays at Turner Park, where the 6th Annual Night Market is back and bigger than ever! This event, presented by Veridian Credit Union, is free and open to the public. Bring your family and furry friends for a night filled with endless entertainment, food, drinks, and more! With over 40 local vendors in Vendor Village, there’s no shortage of handmade goodies and trendy boutiques to shop from. Don’t forget to fuel up with a variety of mouth-watering options from Midtown Crossing’s finest restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, tacos, vegan dishes, or boba tea, we’ve got you covered. While you munch, groove along to the sounds of live music and entertainment, featuring local talents like Blues Ed students and Omaha Street Percussion. And if you’re feeling competitive, join in on some outdoor games like bag toss, Giant Connect 4, and Yardzee. So mark your calendars for May 26th and get ready to have a blast!

Calling all Omaha foodies: Street Food Tour just added!

If you’re a foodie, you won’t want to miss our Street Food Tour on Saturday, June 24 – an exciting culinary adventure along Farnam Street in Midtown Crossing! 

Saturday, June 24 from 11am-3pm, indulge in a diverse range of lunch nibbles, small bites and savory samplers. Explore the street food scene as you stroll the neighborhood, enjoying fun food and refreshing drinks. Satisfy your sweet tooth with plenty of sweet treats and quench your thirst with a variety of satisfying summer beverages. You’ll also love the fun activities like chalk art and live music, perfect for the whole family. 

This event is partnered with the Food Bank of the Heartland, so you’ll not only have a great time but also contribute to a great cause! Jazz on the Green returns to Turner Park

It’s time to jazz up your summer nights! Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the annual Jazz on the Green in Turner Park, presented by Omaha Performing Arts. This free event takes place every Thursday from July 6 to August 10, and features some of the best musicians from around the country. Grab your blankets and chairs and head over to Turner Park, which opens for seating at 5PM. The pre-show starts at 6:30PM, so make sure to get there early to secure your spot. Then, get ready to be serenaded by the smooth sounds of Larry McCray, Xperience, Ron Artis II, Bobby Watson, Chad Stoner Band, and Ana Popovic. Whether you prefer a laid-back vibe or a lively atmosphere, we’ve got you covered. Come on down to Turner Park and immerse yourself in the sweet melodies of Jazz on the Green.

Playing with Fire is sure to ignite your summer

Get ready to ignite your summer with Playing with Fire – Omaha’s best free summer concert series! Award-winning European, Canadian, and U.S. bands will light up Turner Park at Midtown Crossing on Fridays and Saturdays, July 14 and 15, August 11 and 12. This year’s lineup promises to deliver the hottest blues-influenced bands worldwide, from soulful blues singers to high-energy rock bands. So come on down and get ready to rock out to Sugaray Rayford, Twelve Bar Blues Band, Thorbjorn Risager & The Black Tornado, Bywater Call and more. Park seating begins at 4 p.m., and music starts at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Best of all, it’s free! Don’t miss out on this fiery summer event! Chalk Art Festival returns to Farnam Street in September

Get ready to walk on the wild side with the 5th Annual Chalk Art Festival, sponsored by Omaha Steaks! This year’s festival promises to be a feast for the senses with vibrant colors and stunning creativity on display. Join us on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th, from 10am to 6pm, on Farnam Street at Midtown Crossing. This free and open-to-the-public event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
