The Junior League of Omaha presents a morning full of fun as we raise awareness of food insecurity and JLO’s signature program, Kitchen Connections! Bring the family and enjoy face painting, balloon twists, chalk art and more family fun! Please support the Junior League of Omaha and Kitchen Connections with a free will donation ($20 per family recommended)! You can donate here or in person at the event!
11am-2pm: Specials & Activities
Throughout Midtown Crossing
Enjoy your favorite action characters live and in person. Take a stroll around the neighborhood for Summer Fun Day-themed activities inside participating Midtown Crossing retailers. Enjoy a wood-fired pizza or waffle cone, stop in for some buffalo wings or grab a cup of coffee. It’s a family celebration and it’s all right here at the intersection of everything Omaha. In the Omaha Metro, food insecurity is a persistent issue. Kitchen Connections is a healthy food mentorship program. We partner with opportunity youth and community members to help them establish healthy eating habits, learn lifelong home-cooking skills and equip their homes with the essentials needed to prepare nutritious meals for themselves and their families.
