Presented by the Omaha Streetcar Authority, free outdoor movies are returning to Turner Park on June 20 and July 11
Get ready, Omaha, as Turner Park in Midtown Crossing will host two free outdoor movie nights this summer to celebrate Omaha’s bright future with the streetcar and encourage the community to support one of Omaha’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Friday Night Movies in Turner Park presented by the Omaha Streetcar Authority will feature two blockbusters, “Guardians of the Galaxy” on Friday, June 20, and “Wicked” on Friday, July 11. The event is hosted by the Omaha Streetcar Authority and is sponsored by streetcar partners Benesch, Hawkins Construction Company, HDR and Jacobs. The event is made possible through the generous support of these sponsors, who have fully funded this experience.
“Midtown Crossing is thrilled to bring the big screen back to Omaha’s scenic Turner Park,” said Molly Skold, vice president of marketing and communications for Midtown Crossing. “We invite the entire community to join us for two blockbuster nights under the stars with the screening of these iconic family movies.”
Business owners in the neighborhood are looking forward to welcoming Omahans to the neighborhood for food, drink, fun and film.
“Turner Park in Midtown Crossing is one of Omaha’s premier community gathering spots, and it will be made all the more vibrant with the arrival of the Omaha streetcar,” said Rick Gustafson, interim executive director of the Omaha Streetcar Authority. “We understand recent construction has been challenging, which is why we’re excited to support local businesses, have some fun and celebrate the magic of the movies.”
