Omaha’s First Jerk Fusion Restaurant Coming to Midtown Crossing

Oct 21, 2026

Jerk Goin’ Berzerk, Nebraska’s first jerk fusion restaurant, will open spring 2027 at Midtown Crossing in the former Pa Mas Kitchen space at 220 S. 31st Avenue, Suite 3107, with a scenic front patio overlooking Turner Park.

Jerk fusion takes authentic Jamaican jerk (a fiery marinade of scotch bonnet peppers, allspice and thyme cooked slow over fire), and infuses it with everything, from Jamaican classics like smoked jerk chicken, oxtails, lamb chops and rasta rasta. Soul food favorites: mac and cheese, greens, yams to jerk egg rolls, jerk fried rice, and jerk tacos. Guests order from a passport-style menu with stops in Jamaica, Chinatown, Little Italy, south of the border, traditional soul food and stateside, or sample their way around with signature flights and towers. The motto says it plainly: “We jerk everything!”

Owners San’ and Felicia were trained by a native Jamaican chef and established a loyal following through catering. Innovatively, San’ introduced Omaha to jerk pizza and jerk fried rice. Weekend brunch will be a centerpiece, with traditional breakfast favorites alongside oxtail hash, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, brunch towers and more!

The Rum Room (the restaurant’s full bar) will feature signature cocktails from around the world, a strong wine list and our regional favorites, Caribbean beers and drink flights including mimosas, island cocktail flights, rum tasting and mocktail flights.

Jerk Goin’ Berzerk will offer dine-in, carryout, catering and private event space.
