Betty Rae’s Ice Cream Announces Fourth Omaha Location at Midtown Crossing

Oct 23, 2026

Matt Shatto, owner of Betty Rae’s Ice Cream, announces that he will open a fourth Omaha location of the award-winning, premium, hand-made ice cream at 3220 Farnam in Midtown Crossing. This location will also serve premium chocolate confections and candy. A grand opening is planned for November 4-5, 2026, with two days of events and specials, including free ice cream.

Betty Rae’s exceeds the true definition of real ice cream, using milk, cream, sugar and eggs, with homemade ingredients and hand mixed flavors that combine to create the creamiest 26 flavors with seasonal and monthly special rotating ice cream.

This will be the first location to offer chocolates and candy, made fresh by a confectioner joining the team from the previous store and using the same equipment. The chocolates and candy will include special items leading into the holidays.

Betty Rae’s was recently featured in the Washington Post as one of “7 Ice Cream Shops to Build a Vacation Around,” and inMidwest Living’s “These are the 21 Best Ice Cream Shops in the Midwest.”

Hand-Made, Hand-Scooped

All of Betty Rae’s ice cream is hand-made and hand-scooped. The award-winning, ice cream store serves 26 core flavors, including Lavender Honey, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Cinnamon, Chocolate Brownie and S’mores. There are also vegan and gluten free options available.
