Locally-owned Garbo’s Salon and Spa Coming to Midtown Crossing

Midtown Crossing is proud to welcome another locally-owned favorite to Omaha’s award winning urban development. Garbo’s Salon and Spa, one of Omaha’s premiere full service salons and spas, is expected to open in January at 3220 Farnam St.

“This new location will allow us to conveniently serve midtown and downtown clients,” said owner/president Darcy Michalek who, together with her husband, Mike, also owns Garbo’s locations in Village Pointe and Oak View Mall.

She added, “We love what is happening at Midtown Crossing; we feel like it fits us very well. We’re very excited to be a part of what the development is bringing to the Omaha area.”

Family-friendly and open seven days a week, Garbo’s offers a wide selection of hair, nail and skin options.

“We’ll be adding some express services to our menu in order to allow our business clients to get in and out with a refreshed new look,” said Michalek.
Garbo’s enhances Midtown Crossing’s diverse mix of established, locally-owned businesses as well as an impressive collection of new-to-market national retailers.

“Garbo’s is a tremendous addition to our development – highly respected, family-friendly and focused on exceptional customer service. Darcy could have opened another salon just about anywhere. We’re thrilled she chose to locate here,” said Molly Skold, marketing director for East Campus Realty LLC, the Mutual of Omaha subsidiary that owns Midtown Crossing.

Garbo’s will be taking over the Tru Salon and Spa space and is working to retain Tru’s professional talent.

“We will be staffing with the current experienced service providers and may have some stylists and estheticians from our existing locations join the Midtown Crossing team as well,” said Michalek.
